Trucks and Cranes

For this project, I used the Red Gemini, my preferred camera because it’s lightweight and easy to operate. The shoot took place in Turku, Raisio, with perfect weather for capturing bright and vivid images. The goal was to film a crane operator and a truck for an educational video. I wanted to add depth to the shot, using a matte box and strong ND filters while keeping the iris open as much as possible. It's too bad the Red Gemini doesn't have built-in ND filters, as it would have saved me a lot of time. Adjusting the filter while dealing with shifting light in partly cloudy weather conditions can be challenging, but the shots turned out great, and we finished an hour ahead of schedule.
